John has an appreciation for the beautiful sound of jazz guitar which compliments vocals, providing a natural space to sing.  As an instrument in a trio, the guitar can also add beautiful accents.  Diana Krall's instrumentation is an example of both of these ideas used successfully.  John is currently enjoying working with guitarist Brad Buethe, one of the top guitarists on the West Coast.  These tracks were recorded at John's home studio in California.
